Well, good news! You now have a shortcut to a fucking fully stocked lake, if you want to practice.

[ tugging a little at the towel, wiggling her way under it for maximum coverage— and shifts to her bipedal form under there. she climbs to her feet after, wearing the towel like an oversized cloak, and spends a couple of moments scrubbing at her hair with it. ]

Blanched spinach is good? Though— I think I'm making ochazuke, so that means broth and toppings. Do you mind doing a bunch of chopping?

Okay. Let me get all the stuff out, then—

[ time to haul EEL BUCKET to the KITCHEN and then start getting out ingredients for him: spinach and sesame seeds for the gomae, green onions, nori... then all the stuff for tare sauce, as well as assorted pots and pans. gonna eat well tonight, ]

The green onions and the seaweed should be chopped pretty finely, and then the spinach just needs blanched.

[ —LAUGHS, delighted. ]

Don't even start—

[ anyway, cooking montage go. by the time they're done the kitchen smells fucking fantastic, all sweet-sticky-savory from the grilling the eel in sauce and getting the dashi stock ready. Eve plates things up— the spinach and toppings each in their separate bowls, the green tea and broth in their own teapots for pouring, and serving of eel on rice for each of them. ]

...Not as good as my grandmother's. Or my teammate's. But I'll take it.
