[ They've been spending a lot of time cuddling in bed, lately. More and more each day. A bit of pleasantness in an unpleasant situation. Although tonight, Saya seems oddly full of energy... in a sleepy way, granted. ]

I want to show you something, love. And then I have a question for you.

[ She presents her left wrist, on which she is wearing a bracelet made of carved garnet and gold beads. The center is a garnet with a symbol done in gold that Kantera might recognize from some of Red Son's magic. ]

Red Son gave this to me today. This symbol in the middle is his family crest, and a piece of some jewelry his father gave his mother. It's a courting gift. [ She's kind of over the moon about it. ]

Which leads to my question... I know I initially said that Red Son's world would be too dangerous for you, given the situation. It seems that the situation there has changed, and although I don't know how often I'll be awake, I can't bear to be without you. Even once Red Son manages to cure me of my hibernation, I'll want to be there with him a fair amount. And I won't want to leave you on some other world.

How are you with splitting our time between his world and Teyvat?

[The bracelet, but more than that, the feelings behind it are what pleases Kantera the most.

He thinks about the question, but only briefly. That's all he needs.]

Wherever you are is my home, my dear. I would follow you to any world - not least the world of someone I'm fond of as well.

[If it were Rosen's world, or someone Kantera didn't know, he would still probably agree. But Red Son is a dear friend, which makes the choice even easier.]

[ See Red Son she told you her husband would be supportive, she knows him well enough to get it. ]

[ She leans over to kiss his cheek. ] I figured you'd say that. But it's your life too, your time. I didn't want to just decide. [ Her relationship with Red Son -- or anyone else -- isn't something she'd take feedback on, but where they spend their time? Absolutely he gets to weigh in. ]

As a thank you I can describe how adorably he was blushing the whole conversation. [ She knows her husband lives for that stuff. ] Just don't tell him I said anything.

I would love to hear that, even if no thanks are truly necessary. Rest assured that my lips are sealed.

[Red Son is very cute when he blushes, this they can agree on.]

He seemed quite nervous at the outset, actually. I was sleeping on the couch, he woke me and presented the box with this inside it, and his face just lit up... in all sense of the word. Oddly enough his hair didn't, at least at first.

He might still be blushing now, hours later, really. He's new to all this. But it was really very sweet.

He did bring it down to the wire, though. [ She's so amused that he had to wait until her last week awake before dropping this. ]

Ah, that's too cute.

There is nothing like a deadline to give someone the nerve to have an important conversation. -I promise I'll look out for him while you're asleep, my dear.

[Red Son can take care of himself... physically. Emotionally he might need more help.]

I know I can trust you to congratulate slash tease him about this responsibly. [ Go ham, how often is it you get to congratulate someone on becoming your wife's official suitor? ]

And I know I can trust you to take care of him. You'll take care of each other.

[ She leans against him, letting herself be overwhelmed for just a moment. She doesn't want to sleep, she has too much to lose... but being upset about it will help nothing. She takes a breath and pushes the feelings away. ]

I won't tease too much. Just the appropriate amount.

[He presses a gentle kiss to her cheek.]

Congratulations to you as well.

[ She chuckles ] You and I are both apt to tease, but in very different ways. So I shall refrain from comment on the appropriateness of your amount.

[ After he kisses her cheek, she shifts enough to place a lingering kiss on his mouth. ] Thank you, my love. And thank you for giving me the space to love others while knowing that it doesn't diminish my love for you. It does the opposite, actually.

[ It took so long to embrace who and what she is, she refuses to be defined by human concepts like monogamy. That he understands this means everything to her. ]

I know better than most how much love you have to give. I would never dream of stifling that.

[She was never meant to love only a single person, and to ask otherwise would be to ask her to change who she is. He could never.]

[ Goodness he makes her so happy it's legitimately wrong ]

As long as you never doubt that so much of that love belongs to you. An endless well of it. [ Even when she doesn't remember him, that won't change. ]

I'll always remember. Your love gives me more happiness than I ever thought I would earn.

[She's worth everything to him, worth going through being forgotten.]

Then no matter what state I'm in, I'll always be happy.

[ She rests against him and lays down a bit. ] Would you mind talking to me a while? I might not manage much by way of answers, just... [ well. She's tired. ]

Not at all, my dear. Shall I tell you a story?

[That way she doesn't have to answer and can just listen.]

I'd love a story. [ Anything where she's listening to his voice is just fine with her. ]
