I think it's more accurate to say the robot experiments cleared it up for us.

Ah, did they? I didn't participate myself, but I have shared emotions before.

At the last place we were at, our original powers were taken away if we had any, and we were given abilities according to what idol 'unit' we were in. One of my abilities involved being able to share emotions with someone I was touching.

'Tis always a bit overwhelming, but I found it very useful for certain situations. Such as when you need someone to know, with absolute certainty, that you love them, no matter how much they might think themselves unworthy of it.
